With excellent transport links proposed, Coventry city centre and the surrounding suburbs will never be too far from home.

Away from the hustle and bustle, residents will be able to relax and unwind in the abundance of green open spaces provided throughout Pickford Gate.

Nestled amid the historic ‘Ancient Arden’ landscape and surrounded by beautiful Warwickshire countryside, Pickford Gate truly has nature at its heart with around 40% of the site providing green infrastructure for families and residents, while native tree planting and green open spaces allow wildlife to thrive.

Whether it is a summer stroll or a winter walk, the new Slipperside Park will provide leisure and recreational opportunities for all, with a series of trails also integrating with new walking and cycling routes to help residents explore their new environment.

For an activity with the family, children’s play areas will provide a safe space to suit a range of age groups, while two new allotment areas provide space for Pickford Gates’ more green-fingered residents to grow their own fruit and veg!

Keep active on sports pitches

Active lifestyles for all ages will be encouraged here at Pickford Gate with new sports pitches providing opportunities for formal and informal play.

Get stuck into two full-size sport pitches and three junior pitches for football or rugby, or try your hand at cricket on the new cricket pitch which has space for a sports pavilion with changing facilities and associated parking.

A centre for business

Substantial new employment and business opportunities will be created at Pickford Gate through a major new employment/business area, helping to provide jobs for people in the community.  

It is expected to attract a mix of research and development, light industrial/industrial, and distribution uses, providing jobs right on the doorstep.

New primary school

A site has been reserved for a new primary school, Pickford Gate will provide top marks for education.

Located next to the local centre with safe cycling and walking routes, the new school will provide up to 420 places for children aged 5-11 across the community.

It also has the potential to be designed and managed to allow its facilities to be used by the local community for social and leisure groups out of school hours, helping to further opportunities offered to children and adults in the area.
